Spring 2021 - Season Start Information

Good Afternoon!

This week, the Board of Directors met to discuss the moving pieces for the Spring 2021 season. This email shares the relevant updates from that meeting:

  • Postponed Start Date: Opening Day will now be April 17th, instead of April 10th. Due to the quarantine requirements and a high number of families returning from Spring Break travel, the board does not feel it was prudent to host opening day on April 10th. This will extend the season to end on June 19th, 2021.
  • Team Assignments: We have a very high demand for registration (very exciting!), but unfortunately a low number of volunteer coaches. We are taking a little extra time to finish assignments to ensure the right balance of players to coaches.  We expect this to be released later this week. On a side note, every-time a member emails inquiring about a team assignment, the process slows down. Hang tight - they'll be out soon!
  • Coaches Needed: We are still in need of coaches in our Future Stars, Instructional Boys, and Peewee Boys Divisions. Again, no experience necessary. There are a few safety trainings and checks, but we want to ensure we have adequate supervision of the players.
  • Non-Payment of Dues: If you haven't paid your dues (e.g. selected pay by check), HSC notified you via email. Members that have not paid for the season will be moved to the waiting list to permit other's who are waiting to have the chance to participate. 
  • Practice Information: This will vary by coach! We have a standard group training for our Instructional Boys and Girls and Peewee Boys and Girls that will take place on Wednesday Evenings at 4pm starting April 14th. We encourage parents to save the date and time now, while waiting for the team assignment. 
  • Virtual Parent Member Meeting: In light of Spring Break last week, the parent meeting was moved to April 7th at 7:00 PM. To register for the webinar link, click here.
