Dear Howell Soccer Club Members,
Our governing body, New Jersey Youth Soccer, suspended all sanctioned activities due to the evolving COVID-19 situation. As a result, affiliated towns, clubs, and leagues – including Howell Soccer Club, are not permitted to hold practices, scrimmages, trainings, or games at this time.
Given the fluidity of the situation, we are concerned for the safety and well-being of our community. In these uncertain times, our soccer community will not be able to complete all of the required season start-up tasks to launch week one on April 11th. Therefore, effective immediately, all planned activities (i.e. meetings, practices, and games) are suspended indefinitely.
Although we cannot be sure when the season will begin, registration remains open. We are not taking the steps to complete team building and coach placement until we receive further guidance from our government officials and sport governing bodies. Our Board of Directors will continue to monitor the situation and is building contingency plans for a partial season, while preparing for the potential for a full season cancellation. Part of that planning includes processing refunds and returning volunteer checks to our members.
We are hopeful that we are able to offer a program this season and will provide further updates as information becomes available.
Stay Healthy,
Kevin Foley, President - Howell Soccer Club
